Chris Boone
Chris Boone, Chief Marketing Officer, BancorpSouth Insurance Services – Chris is a native of Jackson, MS. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 1986 with a Bachelors Degree Business Administration. He has an underwriting background having begun his insurance career that year with Aetna Casualty & Surety as a casualty underwriter in Jackson. He worked in Aetna’s Home Office underwriting department from 1988 until 1991 then moved to head the Casualty Underwriting Department in the company’s Phoenix branch office until 1992.
Chris came to Stewart Sneed Hewes in March 1992 as a commercial insurance producer. In 1996 he became responsible for the agency’s marketing department, and later became a principal in the agency and a member of its Executive Committee. After the agency’s merger with BancorpSouth in 1999, he was named Chief Marketing Officer with responsibility for the marketing, placement and insurance carrier relationships of all BancorpSouth Insurance holdings in MS, AL, TN, LA, AR, MO, FL and TX.
Chris serves on the Boards of Directors of the MS Windstorm Underwriting Association, the MS Surplus Lines Association, Mississippi Insurance Managers, and the MS Independent Insurance Agents Association where he is currently responsible for Governmental Affairs and serves as the Association’s incoming President.
Chris and his wife, Beth and their two kids live in Madison, MS.
